ABOUT
Plasma Man Campaign was created to help assist Plasma Protein Therapeutics Association (PPTA) with International Plasma Awareness Week (IPAW) in order to raise global awareness about source plasma collection by marketing, fundraising and hosting community events. With the help from donors and local Plasma Centers we will recognize the contributions of plasma donors for saving and improving lives. With Plasma Man Campaign, we can increase understanding about lifesaving plasma protein therapies and rare diseases. Together, we form an alliance called Team Plasma and our goal is to help "SAVE LIVES ONE DONATION AT A TIME"!
Demon Smith
Founder/CEO and Plasma Awareness Coordinator
Demon Smith, a Texas native, was giving the name "Plasma Man" by local donors when he was working for CSL Plasma. While working for CSL, Demon Smith was well known in the community for his hard work and dedication to help serve donors during their weekly donations. He would put in hours and days without taking off from work to ensure donors were receiving remarkable customer service while donating. He knew how important Plasma was for the patients who relied on these lifesaving treatments so he was committed to helping. Later, Demon hard work and compassion to help save lives landed him a leadership position in the company. Without hesitation, Demon took on his new responsibilities as a leader in the Plasma community. Although this was a great accomplishment for Demon, he still felt like there was more he could do in the Plasma Community so he started researching and discovered Plasma protein therapies (PPTA) had a International Plasma Awareness Week (IPAW). Unfortunately, not too many people in the Plasma Community knew about (IPAW). Demon seen this as a perfect opportunity to help increase Plasma Awareness. With only a few weeks away from International Plasma Awareness week, Demon knew this was a Job for Plasma Man. Disguised as a Plasma Awareness coordinator for Plasma Man Campaign and with help from the Plasma community, Plasma Man made it his duty to help "save lives one donation at a time"!
